An integral part of Club Overland Portugal, Camilo de Oliveira created the store to go further and serve the community of Portuguese overlanders in the preparation of the simple weekend trip to the great expeditions.
Com marcas como a FrontRunner, Tepui (Thule) e James Baroud não seriam precisas mais razões para visitar a loja. Mas a principal é ser também um espaço para conviver, conversar, relembrar encontros e viagens.
A própria organização do espaço convida a trazer o 4x4 para dentro e, enquanto se aparafusam coisas ou se montam tendas de tejadilho, a conversa flui. Sentados confortavelmente nas cadeiras de campismo almofadadas, vamos discutindo a melhor côr das James Baroud, ou por que dá jeito ter aquele espaço de arrumação por cima da tampa rígida. Ou por que são os colchões da FrontRunner mais curtos que a tenda.
É um espaço preparado à volta da conversa, adornado por equipamentos de marcas conceituadas, escolhidas a dedo, resultado das impressões que cada viajante vai deixando. É quase como se ali, num espaço só, estivéssemos todos ao mesmo tempo.
With brands like FrontRunner, Tepui (Thule), and James Baroud, no further reasons would be needed to visit the store. But the main one that will make you return there, again and again, is being a space to socialize, talk, remember meetings and trips.
The organization of the space itself invites you to bring the 4wd inside and, while things are screwed up or roof tents are set up, the conversation flows. Sitting comfortably in the cushioned camping chairs, we discuss the best color of the James Baroud and why it makes sense to have that storage space above the rigid cover. Or on the reasons why FrontRunner mattresses are shorter than the tent or the sand shovel bends strangely.
It is a space prepared around the conversation, adorned with equipment from reputable brands, handpicked, the result of the impressions that each traveler leaves. It is almost as if, in a single place, we were all there at the same time.
